Lipstick Love: Revlon Super Lustrous Lipstick in Berry Haute Swatches

All excited for Christmas?!!What secret Christmas present are you eyeing?!:)

I have never worn a purple/lilac lipstick..yes,never!I just thought it won't look good on me(nc40-42 skin tone)but beauty blogging has helped me get over such fears.So,I decided to give it a try!Of course I didn't want to start with something expensive thus I went looking for it at walmart. After browsing through all beauty aisles,I found this perfect purple/lilac lipstick for myself:Revlon Super Lustrous Lipstick in Berry Haute

It is purple in shade with hint of pink in it which makes it easy to wear,nothing very loud.

What I Like about it:

*creamy texture which is good for my dry lips.
*purple-pink shade which works for my NC40-42 skin tone.
*Amazing coverage for my pigmented lips,couple of swipe is enough.
*stay power is 4 to 5 hours which is good enough for me.
*no feathering.
*Not expensive

What I don't like about it:

*Nothing

Berry smokey eye look:EOTD

Hi Friends!!

I did this eye look couple of weeks back for a dinner date.Well..since I don't wear berry shades often..I didn't like it at first but when I looked at the pictures,I absolutely loved it!

It is an easy eye look which can be worn for day as well as night.

Things I used:

Lipstick Love: NARS Heatwave Lipstick Swatches

Hi Friends!!

I am currently loving Heatwave semi matte finish lipstick from NARS.My outfit,make up everything is build around this lipstick!Gorgeous Maddy from You Are Beautiful recommended this lipstick to me as I was in search for that perfect orange based red lipstick for my NC 40-42 skin tone.

Things I Like about it:

*Perfect orange based red for NC40-42 skin tone
*Since it is semi-matte finish,it doesn't dry my lips
*Good stay power of 5-6 hours(with in between munching & coffee)
*It gives good coverage to my pigmented lips
*It is pigmented & easy to apply

Things I don't like about it

*There is slight feathering by end of 6 hours

ps:If you have very dry lips then apply lip balm underneath and pat off the extra balm to avoid softening of the color and feathering.(Something I didn't take care of!)

Easy 2 eye shadow eye look for festive season:EOTD

I did this eyelook back in September(yes I am lazy!) for a festive occasion.Since the festive season has started I thought to share this look with all of you.

It is an easy,less time consuming look.I used only two eyeshadows to create this look.

Products Used
*Burberry pale barley (on inner half of the eyelid)
*Chanel illusion d'ombre in ebloui (on outer half of eyelid & outer 'v')

Outfit for Fall:Blazer and Boots

Hi friends!!

This is a quick post and an outfit post.Since fall is here and we went out on a drive to see the foliage...I thought let me share what I wore for the trip.

How I styled My Outfit:

As usual I wanted my outfit to be high on style quotient yet comfortable.I achieved this balance by pairing comfy white kurti on dark denims and over that wore light blue blazer to add that chic factor.

To add some color I picked candy shades..coral scarf & candy blue earrings.Finally accessorized it with gold cuff bracelet & over size rose gold watch.

I was told to wear comfortable shoes as we might go for surprise trails.So I picked my most comfortable boots(I can walk for miles & miles in these boots without any issue).
And for bag it was my most used bag this fall..oxblood tote by Vera Wang..I love it!!

Chanel illusion d'ombre long wear eyeshadow ebloui swatch

Hi Friends!!

I have not been buying much of eye products lately but on my birthday my pretty sister gifted me some really gorgeous eye make up stuff.Today I'll be talking about one of them :Chanel Illusion D'Ombre Long wear Eye Shadow in Ebloui.

I don't own many Chanel products but I can see an addiction developing...
It is a nice reddish brown festive shade perfect for my NC40-42 skin tone.It is sheer (on me it is) so one can easily play with looks by building the color as desired.

Things I Like about it:

*the reddish brown festive shade
*easy to blend
*smooth creamy texture
*can easily build the shade for desired looks
*has very slight sparkle in it(festive i said!)
*very little to no creasing
*it comes with a small brush

Thing I dislike about it:
*Expensive!!!!

ps: since I have pigmented eyelids it shows up more brown than red on me.I have worn it in the outer corner.

MAC Marilyn Monroe Collection Lipstick Swatches: Lipstick Love

Hi Friends!!

This is a quick post and may be not much needed one.Since Marilyn Monroe collection from MAC just came and was sold out in few hours but if you are lucky you might find few lipsticks at your nearby store so here are the swatches for you.Well I was not that lucky..MM collection was released in stores on 4th oct and I went on 5th..everything was gone...lipsticks were not even kept on display,I had to ask for testers so I could swatch and decide which one I should go hunting for!!

Purely on the basis of swatching them in store:

Charmed I'm sure: is matte finish but it is not that drying and good pigmentation.
Love Goddess: good pigmentation and not drying since it is satin finish
Deeply adored:is matte finish and I found it to be a little dry,I had a dry
dragging feeling while swatching it on my hand.

Scarlet Ibis:very bright orange red,good pigmentation and slightly more dry than
Charmed I'm sure but better than deeply adored.

All of them had some sweet scent..while they were swatched on my hand I had a feeling
that I am standing in a cup cake store.I couldn't spot specifically which one was smelling like what.The smell was definitely not irritating(atleast for me!)

When I swatched Love Goddess I had a feeling that it is very similar to impassioned so I swatched them side by side. They are close but I felt That impassioned has more pink in it.

NARS Smudge Proof Eyeshadow Base Review

Hi Friends!!

Before starting my affair with lipsticks I was very steady with eye looks/eye makeup/eyeshadow..anything related to eyes.I love doing eye looks even today but the thing is I don't get enough time.

Anyways to cut the long story short I want to talk about my eye make up holy grail:NARS Smudge Proof eyeshadow base. If you are looking for a eye primer which lets your eyemakeup last forever then my dear friends your search has come to an end!

Things I like about it:

*Everything (ok i'll explain!)
*it is easy to blend on eyelids (no extra pressure/stretching)
*it is moisturizing but not greasy (I have oily eyelids)
*And your eyemakeup will stay in place like forever! (no exaggeration)
I have tested it for straight 12 hours quite a few times
*No fading
*No creasing (may be a little if you have very oily lids)
*No smudging

Things I don't like about it:

*packaging: If only I could see how much product is left, it would have been perfect!

YSL Creme De Blush 02 Powdery Rose Swatch

Hi Friends!!

I have been in look out of a good cream blush as powder blushes make my otherwise dry skin more dry and leave tiny dry patches(I pay attention to my skin care and follow the regime religiously).During winters the condition worsens even with all the hydration pack and everything.I love blushes so I tried using cream blush and it worked!!No tiny dry patches and gives that 'natural flush from under skin' look.

I own few cream blushes but I was still looking for something which is creamy but not sticky/greasy ,has good pigmentation,decent stay power and that natural flush look...And I found all of these in YSL Creme de blush 02 Powdery Rose !

Things I Like About it:

*creamy texture but not sticky/greasy
*melts in your finger thus smooth application
*good pigmentation
*gives 'natural flush from under the skin' look
*decent stay power of 4-5 hours
*shows up perfectly & natural way on my NC 40-42 skin tone
*Some people don't like YSL packaging but I love it..I love to own
gold in any form:P

Things I don't Like About it:

*Expensive!!!

Traditional Indian Eye Look: EOTD

Hi Friends!!

After a very long time I am here with an eye look post.I don't wear much of eye makeup these days other than eye liner.Eye looks are kept for party or outings with friends.
So couple of weeks I had a party to attend and I went all traditional Indian from outfit to eyemakeup to accessories!Today I'll share with you the eye look I did.

How to Wear Denim On Denim Outfit: OOTD

Hi Friends!!

Today's post is an outfit post.Labor day weekend is over and is followed by rule of 'no white'...but believe me until it snows I am so going to unfollow that rule!!
(after snow there is enough white around!)

Well somewhere in mid of summer I bought this white jeans from marshalls and I love it. Believe it or not I didn't own a white jeans before this (ashamed!).I wore this outfit for a day outing during labor day weekend.

How I Styled My Outfit

This outfit is styled around the thought of a stylish yet comfy outfit which should incorporate few summer trends like:

*White jeans + Denim Shirt = Denim on Denim Trend(& white jeans trend)

*Knotted shirt trend

*Color block (shoes) Trend

And I completed the look with:

*side swept ponytail: adds that extra chic feel to entire look (pay attention to hair it takes the complete look to another level)

*Red Chunky beaded bracelet: Since it is denim on denim outfit with knotted shirt,the red bracelet adds that girly/feminine touch to the otherwise tomboyish look

*Oversize white watch

*Tan satchel bag

Lipstick Love:Marcelle Rouge Expression Lipstick Paris Rose Swatch

Hi Friends!!

Since I have gone out of my comfort zone and trying new lipstick shades,I wanted to own a candy pink shade lipstick(extremely out of my comfort zone!)Before my canada trip I was doing a little research what cosmetic brands I should check out.My fellow beauty bloggers on twitter helped me out with it and Marcelle Rouge Expression lipstick was one thing everyone recommended.

And so after swatching all the shades from that range I picked paris rose 804.It shows up as candy pink shade on me,something I don't usually wear but I love this one!!

Things I like about it:

*The shade:candy pink(on me)otherwise it is pinkish coral shade!!
*Good coverage in couple of swipes for my pigmented lips
*Moisturizing
*A little bright shade but looks good on my NC 40-42 Indian skin tone
*Three hours stay power (with coffee/water sips)

Things I don't like about it:

*Only available in canada(you can always shop online!)

Neon Blue Jeans Outfit:OOTD

Hi Friends!

Today's post is an outfit post.I wore this outfit for the weekend.

Colored jeans are in trendthis summer and I obviously wanted to try it out but I was not able to decide which color!The season started with ubiquitous mint and red jeans..so of course they were stricked off from my list!The colors I wanted were never available in my size..thus I am late to the party..but yes,here I am with my neon blue jeans!! I have been wearing it like almost every other day...and I'll keep wearing it till fall is here:)

HOW I STYLED MY OUTFIT

The outfit has been put together around neon blue jeans(from Marshalls
I didn't want to pick obvious white top with it so I went ahead with the only neon green tee I had.So,yes it is neon on neon.Added more color to it with coral polka dot cardigan.

Accessorized the look with a long necklace with tribal pattern(it has all the colors i have in my outfit),white&rose gold oversize watch,dull red arty ring.I wore ring on same hand as my watch cause the colors white,red and neon green on my nails created a nice non chaotic arm party!:)For shoes I again picked nude/beige heels just to balance the look.And finally,my tote bag from quebec city canada added that fresh feel and completed the look:)

Lipstick Love: NARS MORE velvet gloss lip pencil swatch

Hi Friends!

Nars fall 2012 collection is yummy!!(yes, if I really like something I call it yummy whether it is edible or non edible!)The swatches/FOTDS from this collection by other beauty bloggers were so gorgeous that I wanted to buy almost everything from this collection.Not Feasible!So I swatched all lip products from the collection in the store and decided to pick NARS MORE velvet gloss lip pencil.

I haven't got chance to test it out for good 6-7 hours but I did wear it for couple of hours and I loved it!It is orange-brown in shade,on my NC40-42 skintone it shows up as more brown than orange.I'll update this post once I have used it for a few times but as of now I love it!

Story behind this blog & Outfit post: OOTD

Hi Friends!!

I am working on blog's 'about' page as it needs an update.The current about page tells very little about this blog and story behind it so I thought its high time I update it.
Since I dont want to make blog's about page a very long boring story to read so I'll talk about Giggle girlie gang blog in today's post.

The name of the blog was coined during a fun & laughter filled type chat between three girls at three different locations.A name which would be perfect for we three girls as a group.when we are together it is mad house! Well this was back in 2009..I think.Then in late 2010 when we thought of starting our blog and continuing our non stop chatter on blogosphere,this was the name we obviously picked!

The idea behind this blog was to share and talk about our interest which is pretty vast between three of us.
I started writing all the posts from beginning and the technical aspects were handled by ggg1 as I have addressed her in my initial posts. She even drafted few posts which were never published.But we don't see the other two around...So what happened? Well, life happened.The other two pretty girls got busy and busy and super busy! They said I am doing pretty good job and I should continue.

So, friends, it is me whom you see doing all the eye looks , lip swatches , outfit posts. And it is me who interacts with all of you through this blog,its twitter and pinterest account.

Now to today's post.It is an outfit post.I wore this outfit few weeks back for a movie night out.

HOW I STYLED MY OUTFIT

I wanted something chic yet comfortable for a three hour movie+dinner!
I picked my most abused used white tee from banana republic and dark jeans.Since it gets little chilly in theater due to AC I added divided plaid shirt from H&M.The plaid shirt has all pastel shades so I chose my mint green watch to go with it.And the long peacock necklace gave the finished look to otherwise plain white front portion as not much was happening there.For shoes I picked my nude/beige heels as I wanted to go neutral there,for handbag I was confused so, I am posting looks with both handbags I thought would look good with this outfit.You pick your favourite!

p.s: For movie I went ahead with the snake print handbag,gave me a very college campus fashion feel!
